The author, Johann Rudolf Albert Mousson (1805-1890) was a Swiss physicist and malacologist. Terrestrial and fresh water molluscs were his speciality. Fore-edge uncut and therefore a bit uneven, frayed; closed short tear in lower margin of the title page; a few, insignificant spots, otherwise very good, clean and unmarked. Rare. Not in Nissen.
