Vienna, Johann Paul Kraus, 1769. 4to (26.1 x 20.0 cm). xii, 508 [viii] pp. Two general titles with engraved vignettes; six half-titles and titles to the fascicules, each of the latter with an engraved title vignette; six engraved dedication leaves; 18 engraved plates. Engraved head and tail pieces to each chapter. Early 19th-century half calf over marbled boards. Spine with gilt lines and title.

Important early flora from the area around Vienna. Although all published in the same year, as is usual in a mixed edition being editio altera et aucta for the first volume (three chapters), and editio prima for Volume II, which contains the last three chapters (see also Stafleu and Cowan). Plate numbering is as follows: I(I-III), II(I-VI), III(I-VI), V(I-II), VI (no separate plate number). A good, wide-margined copy. Title page to the second volume bound after the dedication leaf of the sixth part. Vague, unobtrusive library stamp on first title and the praefatio; a few small spots and some staining to outer upper edges (apparently from before binding), but never heavy, and in all a very good copy. Hunt, 603; Nissen BBI, 420; Stafleu and Cowan, 1265.
