Very rare with the fine 28 mounted albumen photographs. Zittel, Geschichte der Geologie, describes the very fine figures and photographs. The author, Johannes Lehmann (later: Lehmann-Hohenberg) (1851-1925) was a German geologist and political activist. A library stamp on the title pages in both volumes. a few pencil notes. One text leaf frayed with a paper repair. The text volume has the spine renewed to match; the atlas is rebacked. In all a good set, including the very rare atlas with original photos. Zittel, p. 763.
