Rich gilt compartments with floral vignettes and red morocco label with gilt title. Marbled flyleaves. All edges red.

In this Paris edition, French plant names have been added without Linnaeus' being consulted (see Stafleu and Cowan). Old owner's inscription 'Bouillet', on the title page, the two plates irregularly age-toned, otherwise a very good copy in an attractive contemporary binding. Soulsby, 299; Stafleu and Cowan, 4725.
