Definitely one of the least common early 19th-century books on malacology. The American naturalist of English descent, Thomas Wyatt (ca. 1799-1873) was one of the first malacologists, outside France, to fully embrace the Lamarckian genera. Provenance: with the small stamp of the American malacologist Dwight Willard Taylor (1932-2006) in the top margin of the front free endpaper recto. The contemporary binding is simple but quite elegant. Slight wear to spine ends; endpapers spotted, text and plates, however, clean. A very good, clean copy. There are no auction records after 2004.
