A seldom-seen work on Jurassic insects, written by the palaeontologist and entomologist Johannes Victor (or Viktor) Deichmüller (1854-1944). Well-illustrated. Odonata, and Blattoidea figure prominently. Several species and higher taxa are new. Offprint from the Mittheilungen aus dem Koeniglichen Mineralogisch-geologischen und praehistorischen Museum in Dresden, siebentes Heft. Provenance: An old stamp, Dr. Lhr. Schröder's Bibliothek in the top margin of the title page, as well as an inscription in black ink, of the same name, dated 7/1 [18]98; and another small stamp, of the German entomologist and odonatologist Erich Walther Schmidt (1890-1969), dated 18.XII.49. A few annotations in light pencil, by Schmidt; short, marginal tear in one plate, otherwise very good, clean. Horn-Schenkling II(2), p. 579.
