A bibliography of the foremost explorer of Madagascar, Alfred Grandidier, who -together with his son Guillaume (1873-1957) - edited and published the famous, authoritative, Histoire physique, naturelle et politique de Madagascar, which was published between 1875 and 1958 and written by the Grandidiers and many specialists in diverse fields of zoology and botany. Published in La Revue de Madagascar 16; but this is a separately paginated offprint. Provenance: the stamp of the author, " Bibliothèque Raymond Decary", and that of Alain Weiss " Ingénieur" in the top margin of the front wrapper. Stain on front wrapper, weaker on the next two leaves, otherwise a very good, clean copy.
