Honolulu, HI, Bernice P. Bishop Museum, 1933. Large 8vo (25.6 x 17.3 cm). 121 pp.; five text figures, seven full-colour plates. Original printed wrappers.
A seldom-seen work on jungle fowl, including its historical distribution, following human dispersal through Polynesia, Micronesia and Melanesia, and its variability. Written by the American ornithologist Stanley Crittenden Ball (1885-1956). Well illustrated in full colour. Published as the Museum's Bulletin 108. Very light shelf wear to edges, if any. A wonderful, near mint copy.
