A rare paper by Gustav Eberhard Jäger (1832-1917) a German medical doctor and zoologist. He is perhaps best known for his invention and promotion of Jäger clothing. Jäger cooperated with the British anatomist and palaeontologist Richard Owen. Published in the Verhandlungen [ Nova Acta] d er kaiserliche leopoldinisch-carolinische Akademie der Naturforscher, volume 25(2), together with a range of other scientific papers. Old geological society stamp on the title of the volume, title of the paper clean; some light foxing to the plate, otherwise a very good, clean, copy.
