A major scientific survey on the fauna of southwestern Australia, including contributions by Werner on Amphibia (22 pp.), Geckonidae and Scincidae (43 pp., seven fine text illustrations), and on all other reptiles (28 pp., two plates). Also many entomological contributions with good illustrations and numerous new species. Papers include Forel on Formicidae, Szépligeti on Braconidae and Ichneumonidae, Simon on Araneae, Ulmer on Trichoptera and Ephemeroptera, Kraepelin on Scorpiones, Silvestri on Isoptera, Jacobi on Homoptera (Hemiptera), Ris on Odonata, Attems on Myriapoda, Augener on Polychaeta, Clark on Crinoidea, Döderlein on Echinoidea, Thiele on Mollusca. Volume one contains the travelogue with station list. The last volume, containing papers published 12 years after WWI, is wanting. However, this does not contain any further herpetological contributions.
