Contains an original letter on the author's printed stationery, and signed by him. The letter is addressed to Madame Merrill "une femme étonnante". The book itself also has a signed, hand-written, dedication by the author to Mrs Merrell, "ma précieuze amie et gracieux mentor" on the dedication page. Louis Henry Correvon (1854-1939) was a Swiss botanist. Boards a bit rubbed, otherwise very good. A unique copy.
