Paris, F. Schoell, 1808. 8vo (21.0 x 13.4 cm). Half title, title pages, xxvii, 565 pp.; eight [5; 3] engraved plates of which several are larger, folded. Near contemporary half-vellum over marbled boards. Spine with green morocco label with gilt lines and title. Marbled endpapers.

This work was published in two parts, here combined, with continuous pagination and plate numbering. One of the plates, shown also in Sinkankas, shows a lapidary at work, and a blueprint of his table and tools. Spine soiled, old private owner's inscription dated 1884 on the half title, small spot on the title page, otherwise a very good, clean copy. Sinkankas, 897; Ward and Carozzi, 305
