[Paris], Charles Moreau, 1925. Three parts in three. Folio. (45.0 x 32.6 cm). Titles to the work and to the three parts, in blue and black; printed introduction and plate descriptions; 96 fine, large heliogravure plates [32; 32; 32]. Original uniform portfolios with bevelled blue half linen over blue and black printed boards.

Splendid, large photos of amazingly opulent Art Deco interiors by the foremost French Art Deco designers of the 1920's, as shown at the Exposition des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, 1925, including, e.g., René Lalique, Ruhlmann, Sorel, and others. The preface is by the French interior decorator Maurice Dufrène (1876-1950), co-founder of the Société des Artistes Décorateurs. He designed furniture, and the complete interior of one of Paris's most lavish cinemas, Le Grand Lex. His earlier work is in Art Nouveau style, but later he became leading in developing and promoting Art Deco. Slight staining to third portfolio; otherwise in excellent condition. All plates fine. Neither in Evers, Ornamentale Vorlagenwerke, nor in Schneider-Henn, Ornament und Dekoration.
