The complete results of a major scientific expedition to Novaya Zemlya (Russian Arctic) dealing with its natural history including geology, palaeontology, entomology, malacology, botany, etc. Edited by the Norwegian geologist and palaeontologist Olaf Holtedahl (1885-1975). Published in three volumes in 45 parts, which are all present. Parts 1 (general introduction) and 2, bound chronologically, in the rear of the second volume. Volume 1 covers parts 3-21; Volume 2 contains parts 1-2, 22-41, and Volume 3 consists of parts 42-45. Uncut. Largely unopened. Some marginal fraying and a few short, marginal tears to the small (2 pp.) part 41, on Oligochaeta, otherwise near fine. A very good, complete set. Rare. Not in Nissen ZBI.
