A seldom-seen work with many illustrations, dealing with the phanerogams of Denmark, containing a large bibliography of 960 titles. Written by Ingeborg Marie Raunkiær (1863-1921), a Danish writer, and her husband, the plant ecologist Christen Christensen Raunkiær (1860-1938). Ingeborg made the fine, clear drawings. Botanical bookplates of the Swedish agriculturist and professor of forest botany, Nils [Olov Waldemar] Sylvén (1880-1969) on the front wrapper verso and half title verso; and fellow countryman and botanist Ove Almborn (1914-1992) on the front pastedown. Sylvén's autograph and acquisition date on the front wrapper. An excellent copy with an interesting provenance. Stafleu and Cowan, 8655.
