Dordrecht, Lips, 1910. Oblong folio (28.0 x 37.0 cm). 25 pp., printed in black and gold; with numerous illustrations, mostly after original photographs. String-bound embossed green wrappers with gilt vignette of the company logo.

A fine commemorative catalogue, showing the production locations, facilities and processes, in particular of making high-quality safes and keys. "The company was founded in 1871 by Jacobus Lips. He soon began to specialize in the manufacture of safes. At the beginning of the 20th century, was one of the first factories in the Netherlands to begin manufacturing locks. The name was changed to: Lips Brandkasten and Slotenfabrieken N.V. Lips grew into one of the most important lock and vault manufacturers in the Netherlands. In 1971, Lips was taken over by the British company Chubb. The company was split in 2000 into a lock factory and a safe factory. In 2000, the Lips lock factory was purchased by the Swedish company Assa Abloy. The safe factory (Lips Brandkasten) was purchased in 2000 by Gunnebo AB, another Swedish security company. The collection from the Lips museum remained in Dordrecht, where it is included in the Dordrecht/DiEP City Archives" (after Wikipedia, Dutch edition). Minor fraying to the wrapper edges, otherwise in mint condition. An excellent copy. Rare.
