Early single monograph (one of the larger ones) of the rare and important Conchologia Iconica, written by Lovell Augustus Reeve (1814-1865) and continued after his death by G. B. Sowerby II, who also drew and engraved the plates for this part. Contains descriptions and illustrations of many new and little known species belonging to the Arcidae and closely related taxodont families.
