Paris, various publishers, 1869-1898. Nine papers in six (ca. 24.0 x 16.0 cm; two ca. 22.0 x 14.0 cm). 143 pp.; six lithographed plates of which three in original hand-colouring. Original printed wrappers (to six papers), and protective blind wrappers.

A large set of rare offprints from works by the versatile French malacologist Félix Pierre Jousseaume (1835-1921). Included are Description d'une nouvelle espèce de Cypraea (3 pp., one hand-coloured plate); Descripton de trois nouvelles espèces de mollusques (deux cones et une marginelle) (10 pp., one hand-coloured plate); Études des genres Teinostoma, Cyclostrema et Skenea (16 pp., one lithographed plate); Travaux inédits. Description de quatres mollusques nouveaux (12 pp., one hand-coloured lithographed plate) includes one terrestrial species (Revue et Magasin de Zoologie, 1869-1872) - the last paper in blue, printed wrappers, all combined in one protective wrapper; Étude des Purpuridae et description des espèces nouvelles (35 pp.; blind blue wrappers) (Revue de Zoologie, 1879); Description de nouvelles coquilles (17 pp.) (Bulletin de la Société Zoologique de France, 1881) (and with a stamp of the book dealer Paul Klincksieck in Paris); Description d'espèces et genres nouveaux de mollusques(19 pp., one lithographed plate, idem, 1883); Description de mollusques nouveaux (24 pp., one lithographed plate) (idem, 1884) - with a few terrestrial species too; Triphoridae de la Mer Rouge, 7 pp., printed wrappers ( Bulletin de la Société Philomathique de Paris, 1898). Several are inscribed by Jousseaume. All from the library of the American malacologist Richard Irwin Johnson (1925-2020), with his stamp in the top margin of the front wrapper, and the front wrapper and first page top margin. Otherwise, very good, clean.
