The rare, well-illustrated first supplement to the part on Tertiary and Quaternary pachyderms, mainly rhinoceroses (in Part I) and elephants (Part II). All parts are rare. Written by the British vertebrate zoologist and palaeontologist Richard Lydekker (1849-1915). Published as the Survey's Memoirs, or Palaeontologia Indica, Series X (10). Plate IIA is larger, folded. Uncut. Signed by the author on the front wrapper (largest of three inscripotions). Last plate with a corner (outside the printed area) creased, lightly soiled in fold and repaired at the verso, otherwise very good. Cat. BM(NH), p. 1198; Nissen ZBI, 2611 (part? - the description in Nissen seems incomplete).
