Very rare monograph on tobacco plants and cultivation, in particular in Portugal, by the Portuguese botanist, phytopathologist and mycologist Manoel de Sousa da Camara (1871-1955), also spelled Manuel de Souza da Câmara. The whole work is printed in a fine script letter, which is highly unusual. Inscribed by the author on dedication leaf verso. Two old bookplates on the front wrapper verso. Small marginal paper repair to two preliminary leaves, otherwise a very good copy. Neither in Stafleu and Cowan nor in the Cat. BM(NH).
