France [?], ca. 1750-1780. Large, folio sheet of laid paper, oblong (31.0 x 42.0 cm). Loose, as issued.
A finely coloured sheet of printed and painted paper, or papier dominoté (French) or Buntpapier (German), probably meant as endpapers for folio-sized books. Wood block printing of flowers in red and green. The edges are uncut, as issued. Central, vertical crease. Marginal fraying, the paper weakly wrinkled, chip in lower margin just reaching the printed area; otherwise, very good and beautiful: the printing strong.
