A rare, well preserved hand-painted engraving of a beautiful South American monkey, the Bolivian titi, which lives in Bolivia and adjacent parts of Brazil. Engraved by the French illustrator François after original drawings by the French zoological illustrator Jean-Charles Werner (1798-1856). This print in very good condition. Some faint marginal spotting. Frayed at the left side edge, slightly thumbed in the lower outer margin. No creases, dents or tears present. Nissen ZBI, 3021; Sabin, 57457.
