Schedae ad Herbarium Florae Rossicae, a sectione botanica Societatis Imp. Petropolitanae naturae curiosorum editum. I-VII. [= nos. 1-2400; Complete].
St. Petersburg, V. Demakova, 1898-1911. Thick 8vo (24.5 x 16.5 cm). Seven title pages, 865 pp. [56; 115; 88; 92; 170; 180; 164]; five phototype plates. Slightly later olive buckram with gilt title on the spine. Green mottled endpapers.
A seldom-seen work - rarely found complete - published by the Russian Imperial Botanical Society. The plates, on stronger paper, show magnificent trees. Uncut. With the Art Nouveau bookplate of the Horticultural Society of New York (Bequest of Kenneth K. Mackenzie) on the front pastedown. Due to the quality of the text paper a bit toned, with some leaves brittle; otherwise very good, the binding solid. Stafleu and Cowan vol. 1, p. 651 [Korshinsky]; 4879 ( Schedae, under Litvinov).
