Rare treatise by the German naturalist Jacob Ernst von Reider (1784-1853). Together with the German zoologist and arachnologist Carl Wilhelm Hahn (1786–1835), Reider also wrote the Fauna Boica, oder gemeinnützige Naturgeschichte der Thiere Bayerns, which included an ichthyological part as well. The present work contains a large chapter with fish recipes. Uncut. Wrappers frayed at edges, spine cover chipped at edges; internally clean, unmarked. A very good copy.
