As such one of the earlier works on practical use of decimal numbers. Written by the lawyer and forester Ignace Joseph Casimir Goube (1750-1841). The second, by the French architect Nicolas Le Camus de Mézières (1721-1793), is a treatise on the strength of various kinds of wood, in particular the use of wood in reinforcing buildings, providing information on how to tell good from bad quality wood, how to calculate its strength, and on the most advantageous way of exploiting forests. Some light, scattered spotting, but otherwise very good, clean and unmarked. Neither in Brunet nor in Cat. BM(NH).
