A stunning, gigantic plate by the famous bird painter and ornithologist John Gould (1804-1881), depicting a bird from tropical America, the black-throated groove-bill toucanet. It occurs on the eastern slopes of the Andes in Bolivia and Peru. This excellent reproduction is faithful to the original in every detail. An excellent, clean copy.
