A unique, finely coloured sheet of printed and painted paper, or papier dominoté (French) or Buntpapier (German), probably meant as wallpaper, not - as was more common - as endpapers for folio-sized books. Wood block printing in grey and black, finished by hand with white gouache. Almost certainly the work of Remondini, a firm of print publishers based in Bassano del Grappa and active from the mid-17th century to 1860. The edges are uncut, as issued. Some marginal fraying and creasing, otherwise excellent: the printing strong. Beautiful piece.
