A rare thesis on recent and fossil frogs, written by the Swedish professor Magnus Lammer, or Lamér, Lammerus, and defended, as usual, by one of his pupils, in this case Johann Peter Eckerbom. This is the Pars posterior. A year earlier, Lammer wrote a Pars prior, defended by another pupil, Anders Johan Ståhl (1767-1844). Of Eckerbom, little else is known. This copy, although without owner's inscription or stamp, from the library of the renowned Swedish herpetologist Richard Wahlgrén (1946-2019), who had a keen eye for herpetological rarities. Uncut, thus with very wide margins. Edges a bit frayed, vague brown stain to last pages and some small paper issue at the bottom of the last page, otherwise very good, clean and unmarked.
