København, 1924. Single printed and typed leaf (27.9 x 21.4 cm). Typed letter, signed and dated.

Typed letter, on the stationery of the Universitetets Zoologiske Museum, dated 11 November 1924, from the Danish biologist, malacologist, and oyster culture specialist Hakon Ragnar Spärck (1896-1965) to the French marine biologist, ichthyologist, parasitologist, and director of the Service des Pêches Coloniales, Robert Philippe F. Dollfus (1887-1976). He was a son of the malacologist Gustave Frédérique Dollfus (co-author of the famous Les Mollusques Marins du Rousillon), and was interested in Mollusca himself. Paul Henri Fischer wrote his obituary ( Journal de Conchyliologie 114, p. 131). In this letter, Spärck asked Dollfus if he could visit him in Paris prior to selecting the best collecting localities. Signed in ink, R. Spärck. Spärck never used his first name [see 2400 years of Malacology (2020), p. 1458].
