Rare thesis on fossil seeds and fruits, dedicated to one of the foremost 19th-century palaeobotanical specialists, Johann Heinrich Robbert Göppert, or Goeppert (1800-1884). The author, Andreas Reinhold Berger (1824-1850) was a promising young German botanist. Library stamp on title page, weak, vertical fold from before binding, otherwise a very good, clean copy in an attractive binding. Stafleu and Cowan, 454.
