Rare first edition of a work by the founder of prehistory in France, Jacques Boucher de Crèvecœur de Perthes (1788-1868). The plates show prehistoric utensils; the profile is a coupe réduite du terrain de Meuchecourt près Abbeville. Uncut, untrimmed. A few marginal spots, otherwise a very good, clean copy. Cat BM(NH) p. 211.
