Paris, Librairie des Arts Décoratifs A. Calavas, [1925]. 90 loose-leaf plates [42; 48], of which 12 in full colour [6; 6]. Original uniform portfolios with gilt title on the front (top) boards.

A complete set of a renowned work by the French Art Deco artist Henri Clouzot (1865-1941), showing exquisite leatherware, often with intricate patterns and inspiring colour combinations, from exotic and ancient cultures. Clouzot made a similar work on ironware. A few plates "used", i.e., with the margins a bit spotted, soiled, and with an occasional smudge or annotation; the boards with some shelf wear and spotting, one portfolio with the spine top torn at hinges; small number in blue pencil in the plate margins, otherwise very good, the attractive plates mostly clean. Neither in Evers, Ornamentale Vorlagenwerke, nor in Schneider-Henn, Ornament und Dekoration.
