A rare and important, well-illustrated monograph of Mediterranean Rhodomelaceae (red algae) by the German botanist Paul Falkenberg (1848-1925). It forms the complete 26th monograph in the series Fauna und Flora des Golfes von Neapel und der angrenzenden Meeres-Abschnitte herausgegeben von der zoologischen Station zu Neapel. Uncut. Slight wear and to wrapper edges, including two short tears to the lower margin of the rear wrapper. A few, small, marginal spots but text leaves and plates generally quite clean. A very good copy.
