Two very seldom-seen papers on an amazingly variable-coloured landsnail genus, endemic to Cuba. The shells are much sought after, and now protected. The plates are very beautiful indeed. Published back-to-back in the Memorias de la Sociedad Cubana de Historia Natural "Filipe Poey", Poey (1799-1891) was arguably Cuba's most important zoologist. This issue of the Memorias was dedicated to the American naturalist Thomas Barbour (1884-1946). Uncut, partly unopened. Library stamp on rear wrapper, otherwise an excellent, clean copy. The coloured plates are superb.
