Guérinet, A. (ed.)
Le musée de sculpture comparée du Palais du Trocadéro du XIe au Xve siècle. Renaissance, Louis XIII, Louis XVI, Louis XV, Louis XVI jusqu'a nos jours. [Volume I].
Paris, Guérinet, [1892]. Folio (39.5 x 29.0 cm). Title page, explanatory leaf; 140 photographic plates. Portfolio of blind quarter cloth over printed boards.
The work is not dated, nor are the authors mentioned, but external sources places this as a work by the French art historian Louis Charles Jean Courajod (1841-1896) and the French architect Paul Frantz Julien Marcou (1860-1932), published in 1892. In total four volumes were published, with 322 plates in total. A later edition (ca. 1900), by Marcou only, had 351 plates. Several plates with some light, marginal foxing (stronger only on plate 126), a few pencilled marginalia, and a few pencilled drawings on a few versos, but generally clean, in very good condition. Neither in Evers, Ornamentale Vorlagenwerke, nor in Schneider-Henn, Ornament und Dekoration.
