A rarely seen work on the systematics of land and freshwater molluscs, in particular those from France. Written by the French malacologist Jean Baptiste Louis d’Audebard, Baron de Férussac, (1745-1815) and expanded and revised by his son and fellow malacologist André Étienne Justin Pascal Joseph François d’Audebard, Baron de Férussac (1786-1836). Provenance: small stamp of the American malacologist Richard Irwin Johnson (1925-2020) in the top margin of the half-title. A very good, clean copy.
