A fine, large portrait of the Czech geologist and palaeontologist Viktor Karl Uhlig (1857-1911). He wrote many important monographs on the geology of Central Europe and the Balkan Peninsula, as well as monographs on ammonites and other molluscs. A spotless copy. Rare.
