A major contribution to the knowledge of the peppers by the Dutch botanist of German descent, Friedrich Anton Wilhelm Miquel (1811-1871). Extremely well-illustrated. Includes the descriptions of new species. Published as supplement to the academy's Verhandlungen, or Novorum Actorum. Plates 62 and 63 bound in reverse order. Stamp on Latin title.
