A very rare example of a poster and/or wrapping paper from a shopping mall in northern China, southeast of Beijing. The purpose-made building illustrated is in the so-called International style that was prevalent between ca. 1880 and ca. 1940. Many examples of this style are present in major cities around the world. And in China, long devoid of western influences on architecture and commerce, in particular along the famous Bund in Shanghai. Below the illustration is a list of product categories here on sale. Signs of age and use: creasing, several marginal tears; a few into the printed area, one longer, repaired (visible on verso). otherwise very good. It is rare to see this ephemeral object, nowadays.
