A seldom-seen if not rare thesis, written by the German medical doctor and naturalist Theophilus (i.e., Gottlieb) Conrad Christian Storr (1749-1821). "In 1768 he obtained his doctorate from the University of Tübingen, where he also served as a professor of chemistry, botany, and natural history from 1774 to 1801. He is the taxonomic authority of several genera, including Mellivora, whose only species is the honey badger ( Mellivora capensis)" (Wikipedia). Wikipedia errs in listing medical doctor, botanist, and professor at the university of Tübingen, Ferdinand Christoph Oetinger (1717-1772) as co-author. In fact, Oetinger was presiding the inauguration. This copy, although without owner's inscription or stamp, from the library of the Swedish herpetologist Richard Wahlgrén (1946-2019). The title page partly stained; some light, marginal creasing, spine cover partly chipped; otherwise, a very good, clean copy.
